Tomorrow (Weds, May 12th, The Viper Room in Hollywood) is the full blown party but tonight is the mellow cocktail hour in Santa Monica with FREE KOGI BBQ brought to you by our good friends at MySpace Music! Come tomorrow for the all out throw down but come tonight for the free food and chit chat. There will be a brief performance by Get Busy Committee and others but tomorrow night will be the full-blown show. Tonight is the right time to come out, meet the band, and talk shop.

The F*CKSTART YOUR FACE TOUR is well underway. Friday kicked things off with a packed party at Mi 6 in Hollywood. Cheapshot warmed things up with everything from Liquid Swords to The Cure (and if you were there you would have seen Ryu lipsync to both one right after the other, Young De blessed the crowd with a few new tracks before Get Busy Committee jumped on and did a small set. The sound wasn’t great but the crowd was and fun was had by all who made it in the door.

Last night in Orange County started in the parking lot — when we pulled in at 8:30pm there were a group of people tailgating who had come in from San Antonio, TX. Damn. That’s dedication. THANK YOU for making it out.

The show was a success. It was so good, in fact, that Mark passed out at the bar afterward. Sure, the drink helped, but I think the show had a lot to do with it.

But don’t take Mark’s word for it, watch part of the show yourself by hitting play on the video below. Apathy checks his mic with a quick acapella then they head into Chillin Out Maxin (watch the video monitors closely) and direct into Say Whaaat?!. Note Marky Mark clinkin glasses with Ryu at around 8 minutes in.

Southern Cali you are about to be blessed. Everywhere else, you better get to Southern Cali. Get Busy Committee are about to do a two week run of parties, shows, in-stores, and general mayhem and your attendance is required.

It was a bit of a risk to debut the Get Busy Committee live show at SXSW 2010 but despite lost luggage, lost reservations, long drives in a white Ford Flex on no sleep, small hotel rooms, and a broken turntable the shows have been PERFECT. Get Busy Committee packed The Velveeta Room at 6th and Red River on Thursday night and it WENT OFF. Big ups to the super fan in the GBC shirt who arrived at 7:01pm for the 11pm show and to everyone who danced their asses off and sang along. We couldn’t have asked for any more from the debut.

Thanks also to Mike Relm for tech support. Get Busy Committee has put together a video extravaganza to go along with the live show and Mike helped make sure it was all set up correctly before the show started. THANKS MIKE.

The DubFrequency.com party at Malverde yesterday was good, too. Short set, no video, but the Get Busy Committee came through as the real enemies of boring, take-yourself-too-seriously hip hop. Apathy started out guns blazin with an acapella then straight into My Little Razorblade, Chillin Out Maxin, Say What?! and ended with a surprise show-stopper Diamonds In Your Eyes.

If you’re in Austin today you have two more chances to see Get Busy Committee:
